B, D

We head back towards the New Forest for our visit to Buckler’s Hard, the historic riverside village set within the grounds of the Beaulieu Estate. Originally planned as a sugar port in the 1720s, it flourished as a naval shipbuilding centre, providing ships for Nelson’s victory and the Maritime museum here is fascinating. There are also 18th Century cottages, St Mary’s Chapel and gift and shops and tea rooms to enjoy. We will leave late afternoon arriving back in Plymouth mid evening.
