We leave here late afternoon and head across to our hotel in Gloucester to check in.

Come and re-live the atmosphere of travelling by British Rail from 40 and 50 years ago. The 1960s, 1970s and 1980s live again! The majority of the fleet of heritage diesel locomotives are now well over 50 years old so the event pays tribute to the history of British electrical and mechanical engineering from the 1950s and 1960s - a time when Britain was still at the forefront of locomotive technology and exported railway locomotives all over the world.

B, D

Sunday

This morning we head into Gloucester city centre, with it’s wonderful positioning next to the River Severn, there is something for everyone. Explore the Norman cathedral with its fan-vaulted cloisters, explore the pedestrianised shopping area or take a short stroll to the converted warehouses at the Victorian Docks. We leave here mid afternoon aiming to arrive back into Plymouth early – mid evening.
