Price Includes:  Overnight Accommodation on a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast basis at the 3 star Maldron Hotel, Wexford on the first and last nights plus 3 night’s Dinner, Bed & Breakfast Accommodation at our main hotel - the 3 star River Island Hotel, Castleisland, Co. Kerry.  Return ferry crossings between Pembroke and Rosslare plus a trip on the Killarney Jaunting Cars and a Lake Cruise.

 

Not Included:  Single room supplement:  £100 per person

 

 

PASSPORT & CURRENCY - British Citizens travelling on Irish sea routes do not need a passport to travel but are advised to take a form of identification.  A driving licence, citizenship card or utility bill will suffice. 

 

(Brexit will not affect passport regulations for Ireland as this will remain part of the Common Travel Area which is an open borders area comprising the UK, Ireland, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands). 

 

The currency used in Southern Ireland is Euros, in Northern Ireland the currency is Pounds Sterling; please ensure you have the correct currency before travelling. 

Monday

We depart Plymouth at 7am and make our way to the ferry port of Pembroke for our 2.45pm ferry crossing to Rosslare, making comfort stops along the way. On arrival in Ireland (approx. 6.45pm) we will complete our journey to our overnight hotel in Waterford where you will have your first evening meal.

Tuesday

After breakfast our journey takes us into Waterford Crystal (your driver can arrange a tour of the factory for an extra cost) or you can visit the museum and gift shop. Leaving Waterford we head west passing through the towns of Clonmel, Caher, Mallow and arrive in Killarney early evening to check into our main hotel for the next 3 nights.

Wednesday

Ireland’s best-known scenic drive is your treat for today - The Ring of Kerry. Formed during the last ice age, this picturesque peninsula with its traditional villages, lush countryside and ocean views makes it a wonderful trip. Our driver will make suitable stops throughout the day.

Thursday

Today we travel the short distance to Killarney where you will enjoy a traditional jaunting car ride through the National Park followed by a scenic lake cruise on Lough Leane. You will return by coach from Ross Castle back to your hotel.

Friday

After breakfast we leave this area and make our way back towards Blarney to visit the Woollen Mills. We then make a brief stop at Cobh Harbour, the final port of call for HMS Titanic, before continuing onto Wexford for our overnight stay complete with evening meal.

Saturday

We have an early start today as our ferry departs Rosslare at 8.45am and is due into Pembroke at 12.45. We then complete our journey back to the West Country, making regular comfort stops, aiming to arrive in Plymouth mid evening.
